Terms of Service
Domillio Sovereign Compliance Suite • Effective Date: November 4, 2026 • Version 3.2
Domillio provides software automation tools for regulatory document ingestion, format verification, and audit trail maintenance. Domillio is not a law firm, accounting firm, or certified tax consultancy, and does not provide legal, tax, or regulatory advice. Merchants are solely responsible for reviewing customer exemption documents, determining product classification, and ensuring statutory compliance with applicable state, federal, and international authorities.
1. Acceptance & Scope of Service
By installing, accessing, or utilizing any component of the Domillio Sovereign Compliance Suite—including the Tax Exemption Desk, CPC Desk, GPSR Desk, EPR Desk, Prop 65 Desk, or sovereign Docker containers—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
These Terms apply equally to merchants using our multi-tenant cloud applications via the Shopify App Store and to organizations running sovereign self-hosted instances on Linux or Raspberry Pi hardware.
2. Subscription Plans, Billing & 7-Day Free Trial
Cloud-hosted applications within the Suite are offered through monthly subscription tiers (Free, Starter at \$14.99/mo, and Pro at \$34.99/mo).
- Shopify Billing API: All recurring subscription fees are processed directly through Shopify's Billing API and appear on your regular unified Shopify invoice.
- 7-Day Free Trial: Paid plans include a full-featured 7-day trial. If uninstalled prior to the trial expiration, no charges will be incurred.
- Sovereign On-Premise Deployments: Self-hosted instances running on merchant hardware incur $0.00 in recurring software licensing fees from Domillio.
3. Merchant Operational Responsibilities
As a merchant utilizing the Suite, you represent and warrant that:
- You will independently verify the authenticity of buyer tax resale permits against official state revenue registries (e.g., California CDTFA, Texas Comptroller, New York DTF).
- You will not use the Suite to certify counterfeit goods, unverified children's products, or non-compliant hazardous materials.
- You maintain proper custody of your Shopify API credentials, OAuth tokens, and sovereign cryptographic encryption keys.
- You will promptly revoke customer tax exemption flags upon notice of permit expiration, suspension, or cancellation.
4. Sovereign Self-Hosting & Hardware License
For merchants operating the sovereign Raspberry Pi 5 or Linux Docker cluster:
- You are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to run the containerized stack on your private hardware.
- Hardware maintenance, local database backups, uninterrupted power supply, and network firewall policies remain under your sole operational custody.
- Cloudflare Zero-Trust Tunnel connectivity is subject to Cloudflare's standard terms of service.
5. Service Level & Availability Commitments
For cloud-managed ingress endpoints, Domillio targets a 99.9% uptime SLA.
Sovereign self-hosted deployments feature local database persistence that operates regardless of external cloud network availability, ensuring storefront buyer certificate uploads and merchant review workflows remain resilient against vendor outages.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Domillio and its maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including state sales tax audit assessments, governmental fines from the CPSC or European Commission, private Proposition 65 settlement demands, or lost profits.
Domillio's aggregate liability for all claims arising from the use of the Suite shall not exceed the total fees paid by the merchant for the specific application in the three (3) months preceding the incident.
7. Termination & Data Portability
You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the Application from your Shopify store or decommissioning your sovereign Docker container.
Prior to termination, merchants are entitled to export all certificate registries, verification audit notes, and lifecycle timestamps via our RFC 4180 streaming CSV export tool to maintain complete audit defensibility.
